Created as a tribute to singer James Brown’s legacy as part on an international visual arts and music exhibition titled “Visual Soul”, which took place at Lucy Laney Museem in Augusta GA. Besides the overwhelming Local media coverage this impressive portrait won the major top awards of the exhibition including the “Best of Show Award” and the “Southeastern Museums Award“. NBC News described it “The most valuable painting of James Brown”. Six months later this painting received international media broadcast and coverage once selected for display next to J. Brown gasket during the entertainer’s funeral ceremony which took place at J. Brown in Augusta GA. on January 2007.
